Historical Relation

The exchange between Japan and India is said to have begun in the 6th century when Buddhism ☸️ was introduced to Japan. Recent Relations

Former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori’s visit to India in August 2000 provided the momentum to strengthen the Japan-India relationship. Mr. Mori aur Former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ने decision leke “Global Partnership between Japan and India” ki establishment kiyi. In December 2006, Former PM Manmohan Singh visited Japan जिससे “Global and Strategic Partnership” की establishment हुई l In September 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an official visit to Japan and had a summit meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. They concurred to upgrade the bilateral relationship to “Special Strategic and Global Partnership”. “Japan and India Vision 2025 Special Strategic and Global Partnership Working Together 🤝 for Peace and Prosperity of the Indo-Pacific Region and the World” iss joint statement की announcement भी हुई jo “new era in Japan-India relations” ko जन्म देगी l

Cooperation in Security Fields

During PM Manmohan Singh’s visit to Japan in October 2008, two leader nations issued “the Joint Declaration on Security Cooperation between Japan and India.” At recent summit meetings, two leaders reaffirmed their desire to further deepen bilateral security and defense 🛡️ cooperation and institute Foreign and Defense Ministerial Meeting (2+2) and welcomed the commencement of negotiations on the Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA). India and Japan recently signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of cybersecurity in October 2020.

Economic Relations

During Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Japan in September 2014, both nations ne common goal decide kiya जिसमें 2019 tak Japan ki direct investment ko aur Japanese companies ko India me double करना था l Prime Minister Abe intended to make an effort to realize 3.5 trillion yen of public and private investment and financing, including Official Development Assistance (ODA), to India over the coming five years. In December 2015, Japan’s Prime Minister Abe visited India जहां India Shinkansen system को introduce karneka decision लिया गया l Japan’s Shinkansen system is in the highest class of High-Speed Railway systems 🚅 around the world in terms of its safety and accuracy. In terms of human resource development in the manufacturing sector in India, अगले 10 saalome Japan-India for Manufacturing (JIM) के under takriban 30,000 Indian people ko training provide karegi jisme Japanese style of manufacturing skills aur practices ko सिखाया जाएगा jo “Make in India” and “Skill India” ke initiative ko support करेगी l JIM and the Japanese Endowed Courses (JEC) in engineering colleges will be designated by Japanese companies in India. In summer 2017, the first four JIMs started in the States of Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, and the first JEC was established in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
