In 1930, Margarin unie and lever brother shaked hands together and started a company which is now known as Unilever.
शुरूवात से Unilever ka एक hi main objective रहा है – to expand its business across the world .

Unilever hold about 67.25% equity in HUL . It is a MNC not an Indian company.

• MNC मतलब Multinational Company i.e A company having its business operation in many countries.
• Those companies which are registered and incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, 2013 are Indian companies.
             Unilever added the ‘हिन्दुस्तान‘ in its name to identify itself as an Indian Brand. 
Unilever was established in 1933 as Lever Brothers and, in 1956 named as Hindustan Lever Limited, as a result of a merger among Lever Brothers, Hindustan Vanaspati Mfg. Co. Ltd. and United Traders Ltd. The company was renamed in June 2007 as “Hindustan Unilever Limited”(HUL).
हिन्दुस्तान Unilever’s corporate headquarters are located at Andheri, Mumbai.
The हिन्दुस्तान Unilever Research Centre (HURC) was set up in Mumbai in 1996, and Unilever Research India was set up in Bangalore in 1997.

At $71 billion, HUL’s market capitalisation is more than half of its parent Unilever’s market value. Their market cap ratio of 0.54 is at a record high.
          Incidentally, Patanjali, the relatively new home-grown FMCG player, has been targeted to unsettle HUL from its numero uno position in the Indian consumer market.

Project ‘शक्ति’ की शुरूवात 2001 me hui थी l rular area mein company के sales को बढाना और rular women’s ko income opportunities provide करना project शक्ति ka main objective था l

HUL का leading skin lighting cream ‘fair and lovely ‘ का नाम recently change किया गया है l
The product was widely criticized for perpetuating racism. Company pe आरोप था ki advertisements के through लोगों ko mislead kiya gaya था. इस controversy k चलते ‘fair and lovely’ ka नाम बदल कर ‘glow and lovely’ रखा गया l
