Actually, the ideology of the recent government is based on Neo-liberalism. But what is Neo-liberalism? Let’s see: –

Neo-liberalism

Neo-Liberalism is the 20th- century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with economic liberalism and free-market capitalism. “Neoliberalism is a policy model that encompasses both politics and economics and seeks to transfer the control of economic factors from the public sector to the private sector.” Neo-liberal यह term market ko government ke regulations से free करके us sector ko privatize करता है यानी कि private market forces ko entry provide करता है l India me privatization काफी speed se देखने को मिल रहा है l Modi Government के manifesto me bhi privatization ke बारे में बातें कई है l But this time government is trying to privatize that sector which is affecting almost more than 50% of the population in India.

Concept failure in other developed countries

Some developed countries like the USA 🇺🇲, France 🇫🇷, the European Union 🇪🇺, the UK 🇬🇧, etc. me privatization aur market forces ko agriculture sector me allow किया जो आगे जाकर failure साबित हुआ l Agriculture often appears to be one of the most difficult industries, frequently leading to some form of market failure. In the EU and US, agriculture is the most heavily subsidized industry, yet despite the cost of the subsidy it fails to address many issues relating to agriculture.
Types of market failure in agriculture
1. Volatile Prices / volatile supply
2. Low and volatile income for farmers
3. Environmental costs of intensive farming (negative externalities)
4. Agriculture key component of rural life (positive externalities)
5. Monophony power of food purchasers.

From above, हमने neo-liberalism ke बारे में जाना l Aur government की philosophy को जाना l But the concern is that government introduces the concept which already failed in many countries.
So, we will be going to know what is the stance of farmers as well as the government. And also will try to find some solutions to the problems.
